Project Overview

Merida Interiors is a small architecture and interior design studio based in Mérida, Yucatán. This personal project was an opportunity to create a brand and website that captured the studio’s warm and timeless aesthetic. The goal was to showcase their work in a way that felt honest, inviting, and aligned with their design values.

I used Squarespace as the foundation, exploring its limitations and strengths to build a clean and functional layout. Squarekicker was essential in adding smooth scroll-based animations that gave the site a subtle sense of movement. The result feels handcrafted without being overdesigned.

I developed a logo and color palette inspired by natural materials and colonial textures. The overall experience is quiet and intentional, allowing the work to speak for itself while giving the studio a professional and polished online presence.

This project also gave me a chance to work with constraints creatively. By using built-in tools and lightweight customizations, I was able to focus on clarity, rhythm, and visual harmony. I made sure the design stayed accessible and easy to manage for the client moving forward.
